When working on your content your main objective should be human beings and secondly the search engines.
Write when you have something meaningful useful and important to say, and I write in the right amount to give meaning to your content and are clearly understood by humans. Would be appropriate to post 4 or 5 times a week average per week. Many successful bloggers recommend to write shorter entries (250–750 words) and post frequently (15-20 posts per week), since that creates more search engine seeds for the same amount of writing.
This strategy would generate more search engine traffic. However, this strategy may be contrary with the strategy of delivering genuine value and creating timeless content.
Both strategies have their advantages and frequent writing small articles can have a positive impact in the short term, but write longer articles can have long-term impact on your users to provide truly comprehensive and useful content. Write longer articles even though fewer people will take the time to read them, for those that do the articles are usually much more impactful.
Write less articles and longest will result in search engine (from Google, Yahoo) traffic fairly low compared to other bloggers. but with a more diverse traffic and decentralized. The vast majority of the traffic will come from links on thousands of other web sites who value our content as very valuable and from direct requests.
Ultimately, our traffic grows because people tell other people about our site, either online or offline.
We most also work with social bookmarking sites like del.icio.us, digg.com, and reddit.com because they’re based on personal recommendations.
This traffic-building strategy would be better because it leaves less vulnerable to shifts in technology. This strategy is in line with the Google politics that wants to make it easy for its visitors to find valuable content, so this strategy should be in alignment with Google’s long-term strategy.
